Some things I noticed

1.) Its possible to kill a Panzer Mk IVH with a M16 from 800-900 meters away, it happened to me.  I would have thought that there would be no way the M16 could kill me or disable me especially if its in front of me where my armor is the thickest.

2.) Its extremely hard to aim the Panzer accurately, isnt the range finder magnified ?  Even with the zoom feature at 600meters its still a little dot, when looking through it you should be able to get a kill in a few shots with one, the tank should take up part of the range finder ( I think, not sure about a panzer though)

3.) Conversely its very easy for the M16 to aim on the Panzer, even when the M16 is moving.

4.) How am I getting damage to my engine when the engine is in the rear of the tank and Im taking hits from the front?

just a few observations of mine

One thing to remember is that .50 cal was used my p47s to knock out panzers, so a halftrack COULD kill you.  Remember, your underbelly and rear armor are both penetrable to 50 cal.  (The favorite tactic of p47s was to shoot behind the tank, bouncing the bullets into the engine.)

like I said above, the MI6 was facing ahead of me, it was a shot on my frontal armor.  The P-47's where attacking from above, the weakest spot on a tank is the rear and the top of the turret.  There is no way that if a M-16 and Panzer IVH are squared off at 800-900 meters that the M16 should win.

Cmon, you have to be kidding me, if a M16 saw a Panzer IVH out in the open there is only one thing that M16 should be thinking and that is to get outta there, not even try to take on the Panzer IVH in the first place

Sorry JFalk, didn't read the shooting from the front part.  In that case, I don't know what to tell you then.  (Maybe he put a bullet in that little slit you use to drive.   )  I would tend to agree with you that an M16 would run as fast as it could if faced by a Panzer.

JFalk,

I agree with you.  A .50 bullet can't penetrate 50mm of steel, which is the frontal thickness of at least a G model.
