I hope no one heard me accuse anyone of purposeful warping because that wasn't my intention.  It was a sidebar to the issue of warping...I fly on a laptop almost weekly from hotel rooms (Yes, I travel weekly and pack a joystick because this game is some form of heroin and so far, I am the first person to record a Kill from a commercial aircraft at 36K using WiFi.  However, if Im not, please don't tell me because its the ONLY thing I can hang my hat on in this game because my MA score certainly isn't lol) and the connections suck.

I simply thought it was useful information that some folks have found a way to make it happen purposely.

Not to derail this awesome thread any more but what kind of laptop/setup are you using?
A laptop is going to be my best option for my current situation when I start flying again soon.

You should have seen the look on the face of the guy next to me!  Im 44 and he gave me that "don't your parents let you out of your bedroom" sorta disappointed/feel sorry for you look.  Then, I took my Ipod-to-laptop connection cord and shoved into the laptop with the other end into my arm...he didn't laugh.

Honestly?  LMAO, I think he thought I was going to take control of the airplane!! rotflmao!!  Geezus it was funny..

Scotch:

I have a Dell Latitude E6500 with a Nvidia 160M in it.  Its a Centrino processor vPro with 3 gigs running XP...the video card is below average bro...I have to have most of the nice display features turned off.  Skuzzy has been very nice to try to make suggestions to me but the mobile chipsets for video are just tough to get ramped up if they are embedded.

Besides, I can't lie to my boss to get him to buy me a different one!! Even the guys in our IT department said, "Why do you need a CAD video card???" lmao.

There are some great laptops out there for this though...good hunting.
