God speed Manue
« on: April 24, 2010, 07:49:30 PM »
My friend and fellow pilot Manue was found dead in a cemetery in Brownfield, Texas. She shot herself on the tomb of a friend that just died. The sucky part with close friends that take their life without a hint is ... you are left to wonder how close and what type of friend you really where :(

She built her own RV4, and here's a farewell video ... her performing the Bob Hoover trick  :salute

Wow, another one dead.  Sometimes reading the O'Club is like reading the obituaries in a newspaper.  I mean, first Flench's dad, then the last ANZAC trooper, then a guy's squadmate?  Who's next?

My outburst aside, may she rest in peace.

That's awful news French, RIP.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Sorry about your friend Frenchy. I wouldn't be too hard on yourself, I'm sure you were a great friend to her.

Too bad you gotta be a paying subscriber to read the article.

I hate to hear it for you Frenchy. Loosing friends that way is probably the worst way I know of because it always leaves you scratching your head and wondering why.

Yes Frenchy, that's how one feels.  So sorry.  When that happens it's just a mess all around.
