What I was thinking, now to find out if it's less expensive buying two 5870's or one 5970.

I did the math before I brought my new GFX card, the 5850. By looking at various online charts, 5870 costs an extra £10 per FPS over the 5850, I wasn't willing to pay an extra £100 for the 10 extra FPS the 5870 offers, when, for an extra £100 I could get an additional 5850 with a massive boost in performance. I could even buy 3 5850's for the price of two 5870's at the time.

5970 > 5850x2 > 5870x2 if you were to compair price/performance.

What I figured, that's why I'm not too game for buying one. Here's the only cards I've found with 6 mini-Display Ports:

I like this better 180 viewing and you can make your own screen. You just need 3 short throw projectors.http://nthusim.com/setup/nthusim-test-rig
Haven't figured out the difference in price but you can get the screen material on EBay for around 100$,and can even get it custom made to size. The projectors are 700 to 800$ need 3.

If that material is similar to what I've experienced, rapid movement will either cause headaches or nausea.

Sorry Paul, HT is a hobby of mine and 12 monitors for the use you suggested, is impractical.   Again, the bezels ruin whatever "look", "money spilling", "I am the Joneses", etc angle you can play.   

I dont believe you understood at all what I was suggesting but Im not surprised either.

I know what you meant and the bezels kill "whatever gain that one would try to get".
