So what can we expect from ground vehicles?

Well, let me get started...
1. Will, say, an 88mm gun be able to hit a B17 on the ground and destroy it?
2. Will vehicles be visible from the same distances as planes?
3. Will vehicles have to travel from the same points as planes? I.E. Fields? Or will there be "checkpoints" or towns where they leave from?
4. What range of vehicles can we expect?
5. What kinda guns are you giving my FlakPanzer?  
6. Will there be any ground modeling? Will a truck or tank have trouble climbing a hill or mountain?
7. Will vehicles be manable by more than one person?
8. A little off topic but will we be able to man ack?  If so, will each person get a limited number of rounds to fire from that ack?
9. Will we be able to carry drunks to a field in a truck?
10. Will there be roads for the vehicles to travel on? If so what kind of incentive would there be to stay on the road?
11. Will we ever have large artillery pieces?
12. If trains are implemented will they have ack cars?
13. Will vehicles have different loadouts like planes?
14. Will vehicles such as the FP be available at fields for defense or will there be a limit to them?
15. Will vehicles ever be damaged by bombs and such? (related to Q 14)
16. Will fields have defenses against vehicles such as minefields?
17. Bad question but what is the first vehicle planned? (tentative)
18. How many questions can I think of? Wait a minute...

Well, that IS all I can think of.  Sorry if you've answered some of these already Pyro, just want to know some of the answers. Also, a long list, don't have to answer all of em.

Much of what you ask, I don't know as we haven't gotten into the details of it yet.  I'll answer what I can but there's no guarantee that it won't change.  AH is an air combat game and anything else we add will be ancillary to that.  It's just something to do when you want a diversion from flying or if you're into harassing people trying to fly by lobbing shells at them while they're taking off.

1. Of course.
2. If we want them to be.
3. There will be ground bases interspersed around the terrain.
4. That mainly depends on how time consuming they are to produce.  It's not something we want to spend too much time on but eventually it'd be nice to have a wide range of vehicles.
5. Don't know what we'll do for AAA yet.  I'd like to see a M16, Ostwind, Wirbelwind, and a mobile 88.
6. If we don't model the ground, they'll fall right though it.  Ask an alpha tester.
7. Most likely, I don't think the gunner system cares whether you're in a plane or a tank.
8. I don't know yet.  In my mind, having vehicles will negate the need for that.
9. Sure, but I don't think it will be limited to trucks.  
10. It's doubtful that there will be roads right away.
11. Probably.
12. Why not.
13. If applicable I suppose.
14. I don't know.  Either there will a base close to each airfield or if vehicles can be used directly from airfields, there will be something to bomb to take them out.
15. Of course.
16. Nope.  
17. Don't know yet, probably some type of AAA.
