B-17 ceiling...?

I have noticed that the B-17 is able to get above 30k...this, from what my grandfather (who flew them in WWII) says is not possible.  The ceiling for this aircraft was a max. 18000 feet, due to the engines air intake.  Is there a plan to change this flight model in upcoming patches??

B-17s regularly flew missions at 22-24K.
