No, I was just listing some of the good players that haven't been mentioned. These humping threads are kind of pointless as there's so many folks that can play the game well, that the list can be quite long. That's kind of what I was getting at with such a long list. Heck, a third of the peeps mentioned in here hardly ever play, if at all, anymore.

I usually don't care for these threads either but I don't fly the f4u-1a.  F4u-1 is the hog I fly the most.

well it's been awhile since I've played, nothing wrong with threads like this. Really it doesn't matter to me, although since I pop in now and again it is interesting what the peeps have to say about the current "killers".

A few more pulled from memory:

P47-Yucca although I think he stopped playin before me
152-Grizz
k4-jb11, mazz
g14- ? - although not best Ardy was doin well when I left
tempest-N7
niki-lute ofcourse
9T- use to be Gixer

I'm the worst pilot ingame ya know!!!

It's all unrealistic crap requested by people who want pie in the sky actions performed without an understanding of how things work and who can't grasp reality.

This was actually the first TnB plane that I flew religiously (around tour 104).  Not a lot of people remember that.  I then migrated to the P38J/L which I flew religiously for a couple tours and then got sucked into the german stuff when I joined Army of Muppets.  Glad I did because my entire perception on dogfighting and aiming changed when I learned how to set up and exploit crossing shots.

Why in your opinion are crossing shots so important in the German iron. Is it because of the generally poor cockpit views? If i'm reading this right, you are saying you prefer to set up a side shot rather then a straight 6. I would think a crossing shot is a lot harder to do.

Might give a slight answer without derailing! I hope

Also to answer the OP, some of the coolest fights are fighting someone who is especially comfortable with the aircraft. I've dueled people in planes where we split about even, but then went into their plane of choice and it's just another story. Quite cool to see.

38- Del, Pawz- especially neat to see these two get on the rudders and scissor the slow rolling beast.
152- Moot, Grizz- Fun taking k4's and others against their 152's and getting whooped. Especially with the aim these two have.
Spits-Batfink, TonyJoey, DrBone, and the actual Brits (3 or 4 guys in The Few) that have been in them enough to know the limits. They're scary.
F6F- Greebo does a good job behind an F6F stick, staying low and willing to fight anything.
109s- Loads of people are good, bighorn can flat out make one dance. He won't miss either.

I'm seeing this trend that the nastiest sticks are the ones who never miss :) .

I've been flying the 109k4 but just can't hit anything with the 30's consistantly, but I'll keep practicing.  About time we do some more duels  :D
