Could have been worse...............    Haven't seen any hard stuff but rumors fly fast on MSNBC it seems..... One thing they are blaming it on is the economic problems in Greece.

Rumor has it somebody fat fingered the stock price reflecting a 33% drop in price, which triggered an automatic sell-off by the computers.

Securities and futures regulators said late Thursday they were working with exchanges to examine "unusual" trading activity during the day's massive sell-off, which saw bellwethers such as Procter & Gamble Co. plunge nearly 40%, and prompted a senator to call for tighter trading controls.

In a brief statement, the Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. /quotes/comstock/15*!ndaq/quotes/nls/ndaq (NDAQ 19.50, -0.65, -3.23%) said later in the evening that it will cancel all trades made between 2:40 p.m. Eastern time and 3 p.m. Eastern time which were "greater than or less than 60% away from the consolidated last print in that security at (2:40 p.m.) or immediately prior."

ouch....

Might have made a great buy-in price for some stocks if buys and sales weren't later frozen/reversed by the market.

I was sitting there watching my PG stock while all this was happening going  :huh.. It traded down almost $30 in share price almost instantly and rebounded pretty much all the way back by the end of the day.. Absolutely insane.

Luckly i made some good trades today while a few stocks were low and almost broke even for the day.. Talk about a roller coaster..  :uhoh

If it goes lower I'm getting in F and SIRI.  It's only a matter of time with VZ as well.

SIRI was actually one of my trades today that made money..  :rock

Will be keeping an eye on it but I dont see that much potential there as an "investment"..
