In my opinion, a joystick profile for the SideWinder 3D Pro is not necessary. In the 3 years I have owned my SideWinder 3D Pro, I never used the SideWinder software.
You can program your joystick from within Aces High.
I programmed mine like this:
Hat switch with normal (level) views. Moving hat switch up selects forward view.
Button 1 (trigger): fire primary
Button 2 (top of the joystick): fire secondary
Button 3 (on top on left side of stick): select secondary weapon
Button 4 (at bottom on left side of stick): autotrim level (or autotrim angle)
Button 5 (top left on the base): Up view
Button 6 (top right on the base): Flaps Up
Button 7 (bottom right on the base): Flaps Down
Button 8 (bottom left on the base): Down view
So by pushing button 5 at the same time as moving the hat switch, I get the 45 degrees up views, and by pushing button 8 I get the 45 degrees down views.
Alternatively, base buttons could be used to select the stickset within AH, but to get all the up, down and level views, 3 buttons would be needed instead of 2.
