How about the M3's, SDk's and Goons carry engineers.  They run over with fire extinguishers, put out the fires then start hammering on the destroyed objects and putting them back together with duct tape and bailing wire.   :D

Seriously.  Engineers would be more realistic than a box of supplies that blows up and magically fixes things.

Shouldn't be any worse than troops.

Have them run into the tower instead of a map room bunker per say.

Or... I like the idea of the c-47 being able to carry double the repair ability than gv's.
