What he said!!!!!
I love the jug "M"
it has strengths and weakness, just like every other bird in the game!
That said, I love to get up high with the spixteens and   14's then slam on the brakes and sucker them into the fight they didn't expect,,,
It is good to check the skill of the pilot of the spit first so as to know if this will work, but when it does, 200 will light up like a Christmas tree with the Cheater,Cheater code please? pops right up!!!
I need to save some of the better films of the spixteen fights, they are Hilarius!
but do not confuse this with the planes better ability to stall/turn fight, it is not built for that, any "good" pilot who knows his plane will most likely turn the tables on you very fast!
If you want to fly the "big" jug, the "M", then spend a month or two in it, every flight,I like to fly it all day long, the same plane if I can, just re arm it over and over! :airplane:
and I am nowhere near as good as I would like to be in it, or as good as many others in it,, but I think with a little more time and learning/training,  it, could be unbeatable,, more so than any other plane in the game!
alas, I have only been flying since tour 72, so I am still a rookie by many standards, someone will be along to correct me soon enough, don't worry about being Ignored, this place is filled with many who think they know it all, and a few who actually do,,,, I am neither!!!!!!

Just out of interest, when you 'slam on the brakes' for the Spitfires, what do your better opponents respond by doing?
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

I like to use it as a Buff hunter, it excells at this.  Look at it's traits, good top speed, very tough, great dive, good high alt., and the punch and range of 8 .50's. These traits also make it pretty good as an escort fighter as well. It doesn't do bad as a pure fighter, but you have to know it's limitations and when to get out of a fight before it gets into a slow turning match with more agile aircraft.  Overall it's a very good plane, flown to it's strengths.

they move away and above, if they can, getting space between them and you, the less well trained will get in as tight as they can, the jug will do a pretty well controlled flat spin, if you can keep the guns on, I have done this type of turn all the way to the deck to then pull out and fly away all be it very slowly,,,  the smart ones just pull off a bit and try to re-engage, at this point,if you are high enough you can dive away, if not your toast, full flaps and wep will make it fun to fly tho for a bit if you decide to stay and fight , also once you have got some speed, it will turn like crazy while still going strait down encase you don't get enough separation.
