Blue Screen
« on: May 12, 2010, 11:17:00 AM »
Ialmdev5.dll is an Intel Corporation Component GHAL Driver. Issues related to ialmdev5.dll can cause a Blue Screen of Death error. This is the error message users are going to see:

A problem has occurred and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer. Problem has occurred with ialmdev5.dll. This could be caused by new software you have installed.

Not a AH prob but could use any suggestions :old:.

A DXDIAG output would be helpful.

What happened to me with the new patch was, that after installing the patch, the game started in a windowed mode. I was a bit surpriced but not worried. Then I minimized the window to task bar while it was loading a new map (in order to browse the net and forums), but the Aces High made an illegal operation and was shut down. Then I opened the game again, but now it stayed on the task bar no matter what I tried - then I found that right tabbing the aces High II process in the bar and maximizing it, returned me to a game (with window bars on top and down the screen). The bars dissapeared when the map download was complete and I could enjoy the game for awhile. The vox was terrible (caused echoes) and the finnish vox decided to move temporarily to the Team Speak.

Now, Teamspeak running on the background I got illegal operation in the middle of the game. And when I started all over again, the game had these terrible pauses every two seconds. This affected txt buffer, mouse movement and game play - all in game activities. So I logged off dissapointed and realized there was something in this new patch that didn't want me to play tonight. So far AHII and every other game I play has worked perfectly (even tested the IL2 and Fallout3 goty on my HD to test this thing just in case) and those worked perfectly. Only AHII has this particular problem.

I'll send the DxDiag as soon as I hit the post button on this one....
