Remove one of the countries...
« on: May 23, 2010, 08:25:06 PM »
It alwasy seems to be that the bishops get jumped by the rooks and knits. Almost every map, there is about 1/2-2/3's of a full dar-bar on the rook/knit front. That is TOTAL aircraft mind you. Where there are multiple full dar-bars on the rook/bish front, and multiple full dar-bars on the knit/bish front. They have even taken it so far as to ignore eachoter when attacking the same base. I watched in the tower as they all fought, and as soon as someone upped, all that stoped, and 10-12 aircraft converged on the upper.

Personally I think this would make for much more fair fights, as they will no longer be able to ignore each other. I've also seen this with the Bish and knits, and the bish and rooks, but usually its the knits and rooks.

Just food for thought.

The reason on why we do this is that we hate the Bishops.  :D

Honestly not supprised . Had some pictures of your front, but they got deleted when I reinstaled AH. So I have to get some new evidence of this, but I'll have plenty in about 2 days or so.

That bias goes in all directions Nemisis, my Bish brotha.  Just depends on what day of the week it might be.

Besides, HTC has stated publicly that the 3 country system is the best system...... From what I've seen the last 3 and a half years, I'd have to agree.

I agree, as I said: I've seen it on all sides.

I  don't know how things were before mid '06, so you may be right. But it just kills the fun: either I'm fighting impossible odds and getting bombed, or I'm either participating in a hoard where there is no chalange, or I'm smashing my head into a brick wall trying to take a base with 2-3 other guys.

I play for the fights, and this just kills the fun. Especially when I'm suck in LWB on a map that isn't conductive to fair fights, such as the current map, provided it hasn't been won (a wall of GV bases/mountains seperates the airbases, and who ever is defending has the advantage of air support being about 2-3 times closer than that of the attackers, making it difficult to take bases wich is what creates fights. Sorry, I don't know the name of the terrain).

Here's the thing.... If you're getting steamrolled on a 2-sided map you're cooked. No options.

If you're getting slammed on a 3-sided map, you always have the option of attacking the weaker front line facing your side.

2-sided map = bad, no options, people give up hope losing a battle

3-sided map = much better, more options, people retain hope of finding a good fight.

Now, in your example both sides were hitting you. I can tell you that's totally subjective. More times than not when I logged into the LWA Knits were the whipping boy, and I've commented about the unofficial truce rook/bish have on ch.200 too many times to count.

So in short: It happens. It's not always you. You're sick of it? Try LW Orange. Or if already there try LW Blue. Mid war. Early war. Okay, that was a joke, but try mid war.

That said, I dislike being gang banged like that as well, but SOME times (repeat SOME times) it makes for the best fights ever. One time Bish and Rook pushed Knits back to their last 3 airfields (before the current reset rules) and I upped a C202, shot down 12 planes in giant furballs spanning 2 separate sectors, and landed safely.

Doubt I could pull that off again, now that the situation will never come up again. The point is sometimes "target rich enviroments" can be a blast.

I think the problem is me, no matter which country i am in, the other two will be hitting the base i am in.  this is true 90% of the time.  so look me up first when u log in then switch.  btw I seem to notice that the bishops will hardly attack in less than 30 numbers.  so if you are a bishop you at least have 29 others with ya  :salute

Krusty, the thing is that LWO is almost alwasy full (hell, its usually overful), and some maps just can't be much fun with 125 people or less. Just too much ground to cover, and you see a lot of sneaks, and lancs leveling fields so there is some chance of taking the base.

However, I may give MW a try if all else fails.

And semp, what you forget is that the 30 bish are attacking 40 rooks or 35 knits.

Why not mess with our minds and at the end of the month you are randomly switched to another country.  If in a squad your squad goes to that country.  Now that would throw us for a loop.

LMAO!!!!!
