FM2 - RPM Gauge - Std and WEP
« on: May 26, 2010, 09:32:51 AM »
Hello HTC,

I may be imagining this, or maybe this is normal... I don't know. But last night I noticed that as I took off a carrier the RPMs were.. gosh, I believe around 4500, and hitting WEP and they were over 5000. As I was climbing and diving, I noticed the RPM gauge was changing all over the place and sometimes engaging WEP did not alter the RPMS. These were all at alts between 0-7000. Is this normal? I haven't really noticed it in any other aircraft.

(I know I'm pretty vague as far as the numbers themselves go. Sorry)

From @ 3-7k wep on the FM2 doesn't help speed.

From @ 0-3k wep doesn't help the climb.

Sounds like you read the manifold pressure as rpm.
