It's not really age but how you act and your maturity level.

Yea, Spikes is a squeaker and everyone loves him.  Of course the fact he sounds about 45 on vox doesn't hurt either.
To each their pwn.

Of course age matters..........   Scotch gets better with age, a wine might be either too young or too old....  Lord knows nobody likes an old beer.

I always thought this stuff was common knowledge........   :headscratch:

My 8 year old nephew loves the game! Mostly it's me and my bro playing (both in our late 40's) but sometimes the kid will wing up with me or man a .50 cal on a bombing mission. The kid is into WWII, planes, tanks, etc.. Most kids his age into soccer, bmx and little league. I think this game attracts guys my age because of the WW2 aspect. To me, that's what separates it from other video games.

you cant tell im a kid until i tell you.
The first time I read one of your posts I thought that you were 11-12...
I've used forums/online games w/ chat since when I was 12 years old... no one's ever called me out about being young... and except on one occasion, (cough) no ones ever cared when I pointed out the fact that I was a teenager.

This is mainly because my writing style has remained almost identical the entire time... I've always thought my posts through and used proper grammar, and spelling.

There's absolutely no excuse for writing a post with almost no capitalization, punctuation, or grammar that looks like someone vomited out a string of words that might make sense if you look at in just the right way. Most people realize this and will call you on it...

You'll find people who will say, 'Oh they're just kids, give them a break'- this is nonsense. You learn to form complete thoughts and express these in written language in elementary school. The ability to express yourself fluently and effectively through written language is important, especially now that so much communication is through text. The inability to do so will single you as juvenile or just stupid, and not without reason.

I've been posting a lot on international image boards recently and I'm disgusted with what I see Russians, Spaniards, Germans, Czechs, etc. posting in perfect fluent English compared to people I know who not only could not speak any other language that well (not to say I can either... :( ) but can't even articulate themselves in written English as well as people who speak it as a second language.

Don't be offended, every person in the history of the human race that is older than your age was your age at one time.   :old:

 I wasn't :)

And here I thought it had something to do with that avatar of his.

Yea, one of the beauties of internet anonymity.   :aok

Either way, I wouldn't let it get to you too much Derk.  Remember if the  :old: ever get too nasty you can always pull out the "You may be old and wise, but I'll probably out live you" card.   :bolt:  Certain folks need a good slap every once in a while any way, if they get their jollies from slamming (with malice, not jokingly) on those without the wisdom to properly defend themselves.

It's not really age but how you act and your maturity level. Respect everyone (or try to) and you will get respected back over time, and don't overuse the mic.

This is so true.  Although RT is primarily adult oriented, we have several players in our squad that are in their teens.  These guy's are very mature for their age and set a good example for all.  It's been an absolute pleasure flying with each and every one of them.  They are the future and let's not forget it.  :salute
