Hey Uptown! Great topic!
I often hear people literally cursing on range channel because they think something happened. I have heard language that will blister paint and probably your eardrums as well. I also hear people get really down on themselves or their opponents and I can't see how either helps. If you died, you can figure out how to do it better. The other guy flew, did better, gamed the game better or some variation. I can be mad but that doesn't change the result.
For myself personally, I find that I fly my best when I don't get angry, in fact the opposite. I just note what happens and let it go. I can then turn to the next flight and the next fight and do my best.
When I'm angry, I screw up. I generally won't fixate on one plane or pilot because that gets you killed. I focus on the over all fight and the flow. When I'm in the flow I do well, when I'm not I make all kinds of mistakes.
Personally, I think that anger is wasted energy. Turning it to something else takes effort and energy too. Instead I'd rather focus my energy on doing well and having fun.
