Cause we are a bunch of grown men.  Everyone knows that when groups of men congregate in one place the level of testosterone goes up.  A side effect of that is that the amount of entendres also go up.  That and it's an easy joke to make that will get an easy chuckle.

Reminds me of Rio Airways from Dallas to Killeen-Ft. Hood, TX. Anyone who flew with them will agree,lol. Usually referred to as Rio Scareways, always thought pilots were drunk or something.
