Quitting for me was easy - as a long as I stayed away from bars. Something about alcohol and tobacco - they're just made for each other.

Good luck guys.

I made the mistake of purchasing some beer. Figured I would try to dis-associate the "smoking and drinking" from each other. Didn't quite work out that way. I've got the pack I bought in an out of the way place that takes some work to get to...on the roof. Sooo....non-social drinking is next on the list. Coming out of my "party years" everything was just so much more fun with smoking and drinking involved. Time to work myself out of that rut. I figure I can afford a new Glock every 4 months just from quitting smoking. And if I quit both, I can get a badarse 1911 in about 6.

I have a sick pup, so I'm staying up all night to keep an eye on her.

BUT....

As of 4 hours ago it's been one full week without a cigarette!

Staying awake at night taking care of my Rottie has been stressful...  I refuse to light up though.  Eight days now and going strong!

All of you that are giving it a shot, stay tough.   :salute

BTW, that bump pic brings back some memories...  I'm gonna go take a cold shower now.

Rough days come out of the blue now and then. Had a smoke the other day during a rough period, felt gross half way through and now back on track. If anything that cigarette strengthened my resolve.
