Doesn't someone from the Marshal Tucker Band fly AcesHigh?

Am I remembering that correctly?

+Sax (of the Nomads back in AW) is who you're thinking of -- Jerry Eubanks.  Great guy. :)

I'm not sure what his name was in AH when he played.

I remember when ABC used that song for their sept programming roll-out..and drove the song into the ground...ala " bob seger's "like a rock"  that said..I still dig that song.  I put Orleans into that "poco, firefall, pure prarie league, pablo cruize" genre.....good chillaxin stuff...summer music.

Yup, good stuff.

I was a bit young for the early 70's (born in 64) and my taste then was top 40 pop music so that's what I remember. From about 74 to 76 lots of good "one hit wonders". From 76 on it was mostly disco for me (roller rinks and strobe lights WOO!) until heavy metal came on the scene with Ozzy's "Crazy Train" and AC/DC's "Back in Black". I went backwards and got into heavy 70's style rock after I tired of metal.

It's all good!

after clicking on many of the links......one thing's for sure.... Music these days...for the most part.... is DEAD.  we've got an entire generation of kids who don't even play instruments...they just sample sounds and talk (rap)... for a second I thought I sounded like my parents in the 1960's.......but at least our generation encorporated the guitar, piano & keyboard, actual drums (and not a machine).....and actual vocals...aka: singers.

Nah man, you just have to dig a bit below the hip hop and r & b and boy bands and like that.  There's an absolute ton of good music out there, you just have to dig for it now.  Radio has turned into a corporate sales tool and isn't a vehicle for exposing you to good art anymore.

For example, check out one of my favorite bands, Clutch.  They started out as a sort of a hard heavy kind of semi metal band, and evolved into a rocking bellybutton blues/rock band.  For example:

I missed the 70s but I am posting anyways because as zeta nine said music today just doesn't feel the same to me as music from back then.
