Nice flying there Greziz
Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

Wow, just beautifully flown.. Really nice to watch, I noticed you have very smooth and controlled moves. I wish I could know my ACM that well so I could get in gun solution just as easy.  :salute

Any chance of getting a few lessons from you on this matter? :)

I am inbetween jobs right now so I don't actually have the funds to play otherwise I wouldn't mind teaching you. Though if you really want to learn to fly smoothly fly the p39q no wing pods and push it towards the edge careful though the plane bleeds e bad and stalls hard if your just a little to hard on it I have flown it so long I rarely ever waste e in it or stall it unless I want to.

I understand. I am kinda in the same situation myself, so it would probably be difficult to find a suitable time for me too. And it would also be an timezone issue, as I am from Norway.

But I will up the P39Q and try to get a feel with it, I tried it a couple of times before but I didn't quite understand how to fly it and gave up before I figured it out. I fly mostly F4U's now, and feel I am an adequate pilot in those. Atleast I know exactly what happens if I push the hog to the limit, or beyond. That would be alot more than I can say about flying a P39, or most other aircrafts in AH..

Have been a dedicated hogpilot for about a couple of years now, so I guess its about time to start learning something different. But I am far from any hog expert, just so that's said. I just like the challenge of learning something a little more difficult than a spit or a zeke. And I really think the P39 falls into the category of more challenging rides?!  :aok
Probably why you seldom see anyone fly them at all..

Guess I'll do some hours in TA with the 39 in the future, see if I manage to break it.  :noid

I learned the hog first too ^.^ but I always just loved the feel and look of the 39 so I flew it alot. It is in my opinion a balanced plane 12k and under it can do it all but it really isn't the best at anything except for falling outta the sky like a dart it can dive and move well going hella fast but that is a very difficult thing to use to win a fight as your foe has to be dumb enough to bite and practically walk to his own death however the plane is very very good at working with other planes to pick harrass etc. I tend to knife at things lower than me dive see their reaction climb back and dive again pushing them to the deck using my alt advantage but if things go south and believe me sooner or later in the p39 YOU WILL BE FORCED TO FIGHT! you cant run you cant plain turn or climb or anything. You will have to scissor roll scissor split s over shoot etc you will have to learn to shoot well also hard to kill with a slow cannon and 2 50's. The plane is no easy plane but if you can do well in it you will find that the acm's you learned in it will help you understand all the other planes in a much better way and it will show whenever you fly a top teir plane like a 109 or 190 or spit la7 etc however if you fall in love with the 39 it will be because you love the challenge and like me the top tier birds every flies all day for their score just will never be for you except in my case I really enjoy upping a 262 to go kill other jets or tempests when I just can't get a lucky break all day you know the days when no matter what you do every one always has the advantage on you -.- well tempest is so easy mode it just plain eliminates the need for coveted acms vs most prop planes as you can run and come back with advantage as oppose to really work for it.
