Spamarama!
« on: June 12, 2010, 12:53:58 PM »
I have a primary e-mail account with At&T. It's an account I do not use. Instead I use sub-accounts and web mail. That account started to get globs of spam in recent months. My mom who uses her primary account is having the same thing happen. What's going on?

Welcome to the World Wide Web. I think AT&T loosened the restrictions on their front line spam filters.

Your e-mail account is probably viewable to the public. Go to your profile and check around for the private option.

A while back I opened an account and started getting a super spam/death ratio. I disabled my public profile and still received a few spam's a day, but fewer then before. Two weeks ago I was up late with a few in me, I got crazy and started replying to a few spam's with the following message "You need to go to jail u M*." In the last week my spam messages have dropped down to only one. :devil

If your acct. is more than two years old, AT&T can now sell your Email to Spammers .
This is probably what happened .
