Japanese engineers were plenty skilled, but Japanese industry was in no shape to fight a war on the scale Japan committed itself to.

I dont like the idea of having tanks fielded march-1945+ tanks at all .

Use the tanks that where in numbers , preferably with many variants.
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.
