Yep, it was called the SK50, or SAAB Safir for the civilian version. Flown them both, it has a stick, and very simple controls. Used for the Swedish Air Force basic training. A more interesting plane was the SK60, a small dual jet plane with high wings, used for basic jet training and also some recon for the army. It was also fitted with rockets for missile training. Both the 50:s and the 60:s was sold as surplus, the 50:s was sold immediatly but the 60:s need a external starter which makes it impractical for civilian use. Too bad, it is a very nice little machine.
I did serve in the Swedish Air force 18 years ago when these buddies still were in service. So i had the privliege to test fly these planes with professional pilots since i was a real flight-sim buff.
