You cannot open a 'terrain.res' file. The terrain editor is a tool to create original terrains.

Now then, if you're using Vista or Win7, there are issues when you install the application in the 'Programs' folder.

warphoenix are you saying when you first try to start up the terrain editor or the object editor it crashes on you?

Or after you try to open a file after you start one of the editors.

OK lets try this first....right click on the terrain editor file or icon which ever you are using to start the program, then select "Run As Administrator".

Then let me know if that works.

If not we'll look some where else

I was having the exact same problem, Running as Administrator made it work. Thanks

Nevermind. Worked for a while then crapped itself again.  :cry

Same problem here mrmidi.  Open TE and program crashes.  Followed your advise, selected "Administrator", however it also requires "password".  Unable to use.

Mine is located in C: ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu......... etc

So I think this is correct for the most part. Could I maybe try switching the compatibility?

At first I saved it to desktop......cound't get it to work.  Removed, and allowed to automatic download to HTC file.....still doesn't work.

Thanks,
Rokit

(edit)

PS:  When installed to Desktop, that's were it requires "password".  Installed to HTC fold, it opens, but doesn't work.

Try using the following folder path, especially with Vista or Win7:

C:\Hitech Creations\ah2editor

Also, the game itself should be install in that same Hitech Creations folder.
Easy in-game again.
