Bad Company 2....best FPS game I have played since the original Rainbow6 game way back in the beginning.

Play multiplayer only now and find all the hardcore servers. I hate running up on one that says hardcore then you shoot a guy with a M-14 at 50 yards 10 times and he turns around and drops a 40mm grenade down your throat. So I have several favorites that I have saved like the OFAW (Old Farts at War clan) and Blackhats clan servers. Those are great BC2 hardcore servers.

i have both BFBC2 and MW2

MW2= hide in a room and wait (most of the time)  MW2: downside of that is you can sit and do nothing all the time then someone will win the round for you

BFBC2= go out arm somthing or capture somthing and stand your ground  BFBC2: down side of that is you will get someone who is a noob keep blowing them self up blows up there own M-COM and so in BFBC2 one or two NOOBS can lose the round for you...

me i like BFBC2 better just because you move around more blow bildings up and dont sit and camp (most of the time)

I've only played BF2, but I LOVE that game.  Looking at MW2 descriptions and videos vs. those of BC2, IMO there's no competition.  Sure, MW2 seems VERY fast-paced, but all the firefights appear to be over 0.2 seconds after they began.  In BC2 it seems to be at least a second.

EDIT: Also, in MW2 there appears to be no teamwork, and little to no strategy.  Just the ability to revive teammates, and the larger maps give BC2 (or even BF2) both teamwork and strategy.

Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

I get annoyed with all the kill streaks in MW2 and the lag makes me want to throw my ps3 out a window. I find the commando perk to be a big joke along with the HB sensor. Pretty much haven't played since the last map pack came out and hadn't played for 3 months before that. I play BC2 on PC and have never had any lag like MW2 and really enjoy the hardcore rooms and game over all much more.

Well, if you like to win, then yes, it can be a headache  :D

It has spoiled me, though.  I used to like BC1, but after playing MAG, I feel like I'm in a ghost town.

If you run around alone in BC2 like you can in MW2 you won't last very long. It requires teamwork for sure. Stick with the squad.

Another really good tactic if you can sneak it is to act as a behind the lines base.  Sneak in the back of the enemy area and let your squad spawn off of you to cause havoc. :devil

Yep I have done that from time to time when the base we are defending in Rush gets overrun in a hurry and then me and a coupla dudes are like WTF man...Then I slip away and find some one elses 416 or a sniper rifle and start picking dweebs off when they go to hop into the Bradleys and stuff. Really pisses em off that way.

It sounds like all the people who are meeting hackers/glitchers in MW2 are either on PC or 360. PC has been very easy to hack now, unless the game has a great anti-hacker system, and the 360 I've seen is like Mod City.

A little change of subject here, what do you consider to be the most realistic shooter game you've played? For me I think it has to be Operation Flashpoint 2. The game fails horribly at multiplayer, but I've never had so much fun in a singleplayer campaign before!

Yeah I remember OFP, great campaign and the multiplayer wasn't the best but was far but horrible, I remember it was one of the first FPS to allow you to creat your own multiplayer missions whith full scripting in the missions to make them unique (you could add effects that were lacking before, I remember I wrote a script for dust/vibration surrounding a tank that just fired a round and a bigger version for a vehicle blowing up) and just little things like that all over the place could make a multiplayer mission superior to what the out-of-box experience was.  And the addons to allow you to add vehicles, units and whatever you wanted.  It got outdated though, eventualy I updated my rig and it didn't support the game at all.  Really sucked because I was a very active memeber in a tight-nit clan and was also an active mission maker and scripter... I think I had to abandon a gorgeous series of multiplayer co-op missions I was working on (I was on the 6th of my planned 8 in the series) it was a crushing time in many ways for me, lol.

They released last year a new OFP finaly, I tried the demo, wasn't very happy with the results of my time away from their unique control system and was a tad defeated to find no sign or trace of my old clan or any that I used ot be familiar with.  I wish some of the higher-end mainstream FPS on the PC these days would do what OFP offered to the mission editors, scripters (of the fair and justified variety) and addon-makers.  It made that game's lifetime exceed the compatability of new PC hardware.

IMO, MW2 is a more polished product than BC2 (PC platform).  Dunno if the Xbox or PS3 version is any better.

bottom line:

MW2- most spectacular single player campaign i have ever seen, although multiplayer lacks realism (i mean, where is a Brazilian militia going to get an AC-130?) and i think the MW2 community sucks (it is mostly 12-yr.-olds who have no respect for anyone but themselves and mommy)

BFBC2- spectacular multiplayer expirience, bullet-drop, fully-destructable environments, and great sound effects makes me feel like i'm really in the heat of battle. single player expirience is lacking, but the addition of onslaught mode has proven to be great so far.

overall, i think BFBC2 is better because DICE knows how to respond to it's community
