Blackburn Skua!
« on: July 21, 2010, 11:55:46 PM »
It's like the SBD, but cooler lookin'  :aok Give the link a read, I had never heard about the aircraft before. I found it interesting.

http://freespace.virgin.net/john.dell/blackburn_skua.htm

"Max Speed: 225 mph at 6,700 ft, 204 mph at sea level.

Service ceiling 20,500 ft (reached in 43 mins), the Skua had a very poor rate of climb."

Whats not to love?  :D

LOL, nice one - but it's spelt Tattoo. You're not far wrong though, Rino (or should that be spelt Reno or Rhino?  ;) ), the jolly ol' Fleet Air Arm is rather lacking in fighters these days, ever since the MoD decided re-engining the Sea Harrier wasn't cost-effective and retired the type.

I wish at least one of those bean-counter muppets had any idea of the vulnerability to air attack of a fleet at sea without fighter CAP, but then the twonks failed to supply effective Fleet fighters during WW2 as well - which is why we were so grateful to receive Grumman and Chance-Vought products via Lease-Lend.

Cheers!

It's Rhino, I had to use +Rino in AW due to handle constraints.  At least you guys have the F-35 and
future CV projects to look forward to.  For all the teasing I do, I greatly admire the UK.
