I not use vox and check six call message not describes the situation sometimes.
It would be helpful to have the possibility to change the check six message with another one chosen from a personal list of messages.

You can use audacity to record a check six sound that you want, and place it into your sounds folder in place of your current one Lulu. Is easy enough to do, unless you want to change them on the fly (whilst ingame etc)

Lulu wants a drop down menu system for check 6 calls in game. Maybe something like hit the check six key and another key to send a "check six high", "check six pony diving", or something like that rather than just vanilla "check six".

-1 combination keystrokes would be too complex and a menu system would be too slow.

Thanks to clarify my post.

But I really wanted to choose just one check six message only using the same command.

I try to advise ppl that a con is around when he is far not less then 1k about.
So that it seems to much to have a check six message like the one we have.
I would prefear to send something like: "Alert, cons around you".

I send something like that on the other channel for all pll but on the check six channel
this would be more precise I suppose.

I thought about a list so that every player can write what he likes more.

lulu, you should really be aware of all cons around you, using vox you can tell somebody they have a con diving, nearby, etc,.  but if there's different keys for different check 6's, then it cant be done.  I believe there's only a couple of key's left that are not being used.  then there's people like me that will map everything to joystick, so you will still only get one check six, since i am out of buttons on my stick too.  As much as that information is needed, if you have to look down to press different keys, you will already be ded.

Solution is to be more alert, I hardly ever get killed by a con I havent seen more than 3 or 4 seconds before at least, but couldnt avoid it.

He is attempting to find away to communicate with others without using mic.  I understand his request because of the location of my cpu I cannot always use vox either.

A simple check 6 will do for the most part lulu.  Not many get annoyed with getting them even if it is in error.  I give 6 calls probably too often myself, but if I have time I will include a brief text in room chat, "...... hi, or low, or describe aircraft .... pony, or nik".  That way the recipient of the call will notice that although nothing was directly behind him, he will have his head on a swivel to scan for attackers.

 :rofl I like the R2D2 sound idea, I might steal it.  Currently, flying with my engine sounds low... so I can hear enemy attackers as well as scanning for them helps my SA, but scares the crap out of me sometimes when someone check 6's me while all else is quiet.  Well, fighting in the AvA with no enemy icons against Lethrnk has made me jumpy.  :joystick:

I'm trying to use a different m2 sound for (each) enemy planes so that i can recognize the attacker from the sound of the guns.

I am currently using a squealing pig as my check six. Imagine being in a dogfight and hearing a screaming pig in your headset.. Funny and scary at the same time. I have also used some "adult themed" sounds as my check six, "look behind ya A__hole","WTF you gonna take it in the tailpipe" but I have grown up, (cough cough) since then.

As stupid as it sounds I changed my check six message to one of Robert Downy Jr's lines in tropic thunder. "I'm a lead farmer mutha _____"  lol Fill in the blank.
