Orange N1K2's
« on: August 12, 2010, 11:03:18 PM »
Gonna keep this one short and sweet,  a while ago, I remember reading that the orange N1K2's were used as trainers, can anyone confirm this, did they have color codes for most of there planes, because I have seen white J2M's marked as prototypes and some other orange JP planes  tagged as trainers?

any help would be appreciated

Orange was used on test craft and training schools/units...

ALthough technically some saw combat because the US Navy planes didn't discriminate when they ran across them.

P.S. Same deal for the A6M with an orange belly, they at least tried to keep the camo on that one, prevent them from being spotted too easily.
