Where to get all the Det versions?
« on: January 04, 2002, 08:53:00 AM »
Argh, the link I use in my sig, DangerousDog.com, seems to have vanished.  Crap.  They had every Det. version for download.

Can anybody point me to where I can get something similar?  Specifically, I'd like all the WHQL/Official Detonator versions for 2k/XP and 98/Me.

M3DZone has some of the drivers... but not the good ones.

Hmmm.  I may have to scrounge these up and host them myself. :/

Sweet.  These guys have everything, though it's not that easy to navigate.

I mourn the loss of Dangerous Dog.

THANK YOU Staga.  The CAD didn't actually work.

3DChipset not only has them all, it looks very nice too.

Bookmarking this one.  Now to fix my sig. link.

Lephturn, here's seems to be a long list of them: Detonators

Sorry for going a bit off topic but I'm having video card problems myself...what Detonators would you recommend for Elsa Cladiac GeForce 2 Ultra? 7.78 didn't quite work for me.  :(

I have Win98SE and directx 8.1 on my system. Would 14.10 be a good choise?

Leph,

I have a question similar to Wmaker. I have a nvida chipset GEforce2 MX400 card from PNY. I was wondering what dirver I should be looking for as well. Can you help me out?

DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Well, I always start with the 7.58's for Win2k, and 7.78's for Win98.  For anything TnT up to GeForce 2, those are normally very reliable and work well.

After that, it's simply a matter of trying later model WHQL certified sets until you get one the works for you.  Once you get one that works properly in your games, don't be tempted to try the "latest" ones unless you have a lot of time to spend swapping drivers if necessary.  :)

Wmaker,

Thanks for that link!  That's a very nice one, exactly what I was looking for.

If the 7.78's are not working for you, move up to the 14.10's next.  With the GF2 Ultra you may even try the 21.81's.  I'd try the 14.10's first... they seem to be fairly stable.

Well nevermind I was going to send you over to Guru3D.com but they seem to have closed up shop as well.
