Hahah here ya go.
This was the 2.12.4 version. I had to take the .mis files that the current version (2.20.3) of the game wrote. There is no missres folder in the 2.12.4 version. That being said the only bug with this mission on this version is the F6's are not there. You also can't fly the F6 flight because the game loads P-51's instead. If you try to select the F6 flight the game crashes. Oh well, you can still fly the P-38's. Every flight on the Japanese side works great!
Anyways, since it is a more even match up. I decided to fly against the P-51's with the Ki-84. Man o man you can get some GREAT fights going. In a dog fight a P-38 has very little chance against the Ki-84, unless the 38 pilot flies like a bat out of hell! So I chose to go with more Mustang battles in this vid.

Roger that, Captain Carnage! Thanks for making that video clip of your flight in my mission. I've published a link to it at the bottom of the mission page here:
http://techvideoreview.com/FlightSimMovies/AcesHigh/Ah2Missions/SolomonMelee/Ah2MissionSolomonMeleeFullPage.htmYou've captured some sweet camera angles there. I've published a lot of movies of my Aces High missions and exploits, but that's the first time anybody's ever heard a hardrock soundtrack with any of them LOL!
Now as to you observations about flying the mission under Ah2.12.4:
You are correct that Version 2.12.4 (like other older versions) requires the ".mis" file, which I don't even publish. Others reading this thread may be wondering "How then do I get the required .mis file?". Well, thanks for posting the method you used. For review, He:
1- Downloaded the *.res file from my page
http://techvideoreview.com/FlightSimMovies/AcesHigh/Ah2Missions/SolomonMelee/Ah2MissionSolomonMeleeFullPage.htm2- He copied that *.res file into the "offres" folder of his newer Aces High installation (For example, V2.20.3).
3- He flew the mission with that new Aces High Version.
4- Aces High V2.20.3 automagically generated a corresponding *.mis file (I think it shows up in the "misstemp" folder).
5- He copied that new *.mis file into the "offmiss" folder of his old Ah2.12.4 installation (no need to copy any *.res files in this case).
6- He could then fly the mission as described with Ah2.12.4. The only weakness of this approach is that the new Aces High seems to reference a few plane types differently, so the AH2131 references to F6Fs equate to P51s under AH2124.
These little quirks and differences between missions and versions can be irksome to sort out. I'm trying to keep track of them all, and as I learn things, I'm publishing them in the Aces High pages of my main website (see reference in my .sig below).
