Sound packs
« on: July 22, 2010, 03:16:22 PM »
OK,the new sound system is ingame and we have what we have.

So I ask could someone plz do a sound pack that will lower or better yet remove the stall horn/buzzer,please!

While your at it could you also reduce/remove stall buffet sound and drop wind noise to about 15% of it's volume.

I wish I knew how to do these things myself and I'd offer it to anyone who's want it,been flying so long without these sounds they're driving me crazy...... :old: :joystick:

Thanks in advance to whoever does this!!!

If you want to ditch a sound altogether, you can use a blank .wav file as your custom sound.

Here is a "Blank" sound file for everyone to use if you need it. Just replace XXX with the sound effect name you want to make quiet.

Thx wrongway,I already read that post but from all the complaints I thought 1 of the more skilled guys could put together a sound pack that would allow others to simply swap the sounds and then maybe the complaints would end.

Ya it's asking alot and there will always be complaints but this shouldnt be 1 of them!!

I was hopin' one of the sound people had the original default AH sounds available to upload somewhere.

From what I understand they were the same sounds they used for default today and from that we could create a file structure like a Custom Sound Pack does but with default sounds that we can tweak the sound levels on.

This is my greatest wish.

Got an old laptop with me - I'll install the last version of AH that I kept, and will upload the sounds from that - if that will help anyone out.

I can't find the buffet sound in my sound folder at all... I've edited the rest of my files to where the game used to be.

Anyone know the name of it? Better yet, can someone post their buffet sound (edited or not) so I can throw it into my sound folder?

Thanks!

Baumer did some of the other sounds that folks are having a hard time with.

It's called buffet.wav and I can't find a copy of it in any of my directories where I have backed up previous versions of my \sounds directories.

Thanks... I made a shot in the dark and called it that and placed a placeholder where is should be. No more buffet...
