Drones Lost
« on: July 25, 2010, 02:08:46 PM »
Flying B24's being trailed by a Jug, dove low for the ground then leveled to address his attack.  He chewed up my #1 aircraft but it was still flying and controllable, so I went into another dive to get lower.  My drones did not follow. They both stayed up 4-5K above me as I reached ground level. Then I lost connection to them and the jug (whom I had killed) got kills on both the drones.  Why didn't they drop alt with me the second time?

I've noticed this lately as well.  When diving, the drones take a bit of time to follow.

Perhaps it is an attempt to limit dive bombing Lancs and immelmans with heavy bomber formations?

Little side note with bomber drones,

I have put alot of bullets in a B26 and a B25 today, As their main drone was falling to the ground I got the kill on the main drone but the last drone i got no kill on, I did put bullets in these second drones but they just disappeared and didn't give me a kill

Not Hijacking, just a side note.

I lose drones alot and not get crash messages or death messages.

Last tour I had a 234 sortie and Lost a drone and the only indication I got was minus 53 perks for the sortie.

In fact just last night I had a Ki-67 sortie where I got 2 kills but lost an engine in the lead plane.

Sure enough, upon landing aproach one of my undamaged drones just dissapeared as I lowered my landing gear.

No crash message, no you have been shot down by, It just dissapeared.
