F4U1A landing gear
« on: August 03, 2010, 11:52:12 AM »
I was in the offline arena correcting headpositions on the F4U when I pressed the landing gear botton with full throttle and wep on at 300mph, and the gear came down and didn't even creak! Whats up with this?  :headscratch:

No bug to the best of my knowledge the F4U can drop gear at much higher speeds.

Not a bug. The real life F4U uses it's main landing gear as dive brakes. There is an actual setting for this in the cockpit where the mains are deployed but the tail wheel is not.

Gear will deploy up to about 440 or so.
You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

Its very useful when strafing tanks at high angles.
