I-16 wing cannons
« on: August 02, 2010, 09:36:41 PM »
They seem very easily damaged by GV mounted weapons and seem to be the first to go regardless of the hit location. The right cannon seems particularly afflicted.

I caught a burst in my left wing, and lost my right cannnon.

On a different sortie, I got a single ping resulting in a hole in my windscreen and lost my right cannon.

I attacked a Panzer with the rockets and got a few pings to the cocpit (he fired when I was nose on and I saw the bullet holes in my windscreen) resulting in both cannons being damaged.

Do you have a recording?

Something like this happened to me ones or twice in different planes, when I analyzed to recording everything was the way it should have been.

I don't have recording of it. The first few times, I took it as (and it may be) coincidence. But I had to unexpectedly leave on my next I-16 sortie and so I just hit alt F4.

I don't have recording of it.

Well if it really does happen that often, then the next time you fly just record it. And if it's not going to happen than your all good.  :aok
