I would only get a Leadtek GF3.  Leadtek GF3's have much better 2D quality than the others, even better than Matrox (some say).

Ammo, whatever you do dont get a Ti-200.  Im not sure what all games you play, but strictly in the context of Aces High, I get better performance out of my Elsa GF2 Ultra than I did testing the Visiontek Ti-200.  Yeah yeah, you can overclock 'em, but I can oc my card too.

Ammo, I hope you checked out that article at tomshardware.com - its quite helpful with comparing performances of several cards.

Also, check out http://www.8dimensional.com/nVGF3.html
This gives some great detail about all the cards out there.

Hope this helps.  Just a side note, I hear the GF4 will be out in March.

Nim

Larry, all.. Thx for the advice. I bought a gainward geforce 3 (original). I should see a considerable increase in performance over my old mx400 card.

I have the same card ammo. It was a great buy. No problems at all. I get a rock steady 75 fps running AH in 1600x1200, 32 bit. I run it clocked at 240/510. It will go higher, but it's not necessary. I think you're going to like it.

The Golden Sample series are excellent cards, they use the highest quality memory available on a 6 layer PCB.

Due to the memory and PCB combination they can run stable at higher Core/Clk speeds than most other manufacturers cards.

Motherboards based on Intel's 850 chipset are usually manufactured with this type of PCB. <quality stuff>

Nvidea was upset with Gainward when they released the Golden Sample GF2 MX-400 series because they performed almost as well as the GF2 GTS/Pro series.  :p

I O/C the hell out of my Gainward GF2 MX-400 and it has never given me a problem.  ;)

When I bought the card it was set at 200/166, I hacked the cards BIOS and am running it at 225/350. <core/mem>

Gainward also includes a great software bundle, Cyberlink Power DVD, Power VCR, and several other nice programs came with mine. <3 disks>
