Flap Damage

I was in a f4u1a and received damage while my flp was down. I was doing about 300 when i heard the sound as if my gear was down. Only problem was gear was up. Next thing i know my left wing breaks off. Im not sure if this is a bug or not so im just asking if anyone has had this happen.

If flaps are damaged in the down position the game treats like the flap is still there.

But it has never ripped the wing off before

Only weird thing lately for me is when any strikes hit the tail the rudder is the first thing to go.  I never had a flap lock down and I do roll a 1A on a regular basis.  Only time I ever had a wing break off was pulling out of a dive in a U4 the first time I flew it....
