Try GV'ing. Theres still a lot of tactics being used, and there aren't enough dedicated GV'ers for a hoard really. Strategy and stealth don't come into play as much, since there is less room for discresion as far as approach route.
Nemisis, I GV all of the time...Sky25 is not my name in the game.. Actually my friend, I have found that since the changes I get gv killed more by eggs than I do other tanks.. It used to be the other way around...

Real estate is still taken. We have even seen the large map in LWO(pink) being won.

I agree that it is being taken. I have some captures myself since the changes. How many strat runs are we seeing? How many base takes deep in enemy territory are we seeing? I guess that I miss some of the fun things we used to do. Like the massive Junkers raids deep into enemy territory..

If anything needs to be changed from current..I think radar circles need to go back to original size..leave the dots at 65 for noe..

+1   this would be a good compromise....as I have said before the amount of times I've watched a dot change direction when I appear on the radar and not even out of visual range of my base is a pain....at least before they had to be a little more committed once they hit a radar ring IMO that is.

Land Grabbing early in the morning unopposed in large groups. Doesn't count to me as strategy just dweebery. You want stealth, fly under 65ft. Still  +1 to modifying  the radars again. Looks kinda silly for radar circles to overlap by half way.

Since the middle of last tour most of the knight bases along the active fronts get their radar porked like clockwork during prime time. Just when I can finally see the red dots, along comes another FW and it's back to guessing. The usual culprits have adjusted their tactics to the radar. But, instead of a sure thing smash and grab of bases, any small mistakes or over sights by the attackers translate into a protracted Stalingrad. Seems there were some aspects of WW2 that supported Murphy's Law like this. But, Carl von Clausewitz said it better. No plan survives contact with the enemy.

Oh, I see, that giant slug fest after the base grab is blown and the defenders show up is whats being called a FURBALL now. We no likee delayed gratificationee?  Isn't that more an indicator of how lame the smash and grabers or NOE hoarders are at any REAL strategy? We've been challenged by HiTech and as usual most rise to the occasion, adapt and overcome. Then we find out who the weenies are here in the forum who are change intollerant. I suppose they are the same people who spill McKey D coffee in their laps while trying to hold it between their knees and sue because they got burnt.

By the way. The POTW have discovered why HiTech gave us those MONGO rocket packs on the M4. If you up 6 M4 w packs and 6-8 heavy tank escorts. The M4 can mow the new town down rather quickly. And just like WW2 in the hedge row country, Jabo supports the tanks by killing the defence tanks, VH and upping fighters. It's not the 30 seconds NOE smash and grabs with no fight, and some lame vulches. But it is up to an hour of good fighting if we blow the timing.

Oh, Silly me, I see. The previous radar arrangement didn't promote conflict. Instead it was found to have an unintended consiquence to game flow which granted emidiate low risk self gratification BY leveraging conflict avoidence. People were running all over the map in large invisible gangs avoiding fighting, grabbing feilds and enjoying an evening of Not Getting Shot Down.<---Risk Avoidence.

Bad HiTEch, Baddddd HiTech. You actualy want your customers to fight in a air combat sim. Insanity I say. They are CRYING for RISK AVOIDENCE.......the customer is always rrrrighttt..... :old:

Nemisis, I GV all of the time...Sky25 is not my name in the game.. Actually my friend, I have found that since the changes I get gv killed more by eggs than I do other tanks.. It used to be the other way around...

Then one of two things is happening: you've reached the point where you are extemely hard to kill from a GV and so are attracting a lot of eggs, or you are attacking too many airfields. If you attack an airfield, expect to get bombed unless the ordanance is down.

Tank combat seems to have gone down considerably. Most tank vs tank fights happened at/near vehicle bases (opposed to rolling tanks to an airbase and getting mostly bombed), but pure GV attacks on Vbases have gotten quite rare since the bases had been redesigned.

Yes, the 17lbers have discouraged that. With the hills, burms, and trees, you are in easy range of the gun by the time you have a shot at it. They almost require one to destroy them before any real attack can be made.

Just curious...

How easy are they to kill?  (17lbs gun)
