Sound Gone, and Offline mode crash's...
« on: August 17, 2010, 10:17:49 PM »
So tonight I decided to monkey a little bit with the sound options, while I was on climb out.
I had my Speaker and Headphones set to Digital Realtek Sound before, and the "Use windows configuration" on the top pull down.
I changed the top pulldown to "Headphones" because I'm not using speakers.

Well I lost sound completely. Didn't matter what I changed them back to. I exited the game, still nothing, rebooted, finally got em back after rebooting a half dozen times.
I also noticed while trying to fix my sound, I went into offline mode, and couldn't be in offline mode for more than about 30seconds. I was in an M8 and a Panzer and testing the sounds by firing the main guns....and just crashed after about 30 seconds.

Not sure if this is the right spot for this, but thought I'd mention it.

Change it back to whatever it first detected your system at. I found I had to put the Master Sound all back to Speakers even though I'm using a headset. In the right hand side for sources if it first gave you the windows sound system as the Primary Driver or a windows sound driver change it back. The only source on the right hand side that points to my SB X-Fi hardware is for the microphone. The rest is some form of a windows virtual driver.

I'm thinking HTC is not done working with the Miles sound system. Kind of reminds me of the bad old days with SVGA AW and how it detected video cards..... :old:
