Update: As of today (13Sep2010) I've greatly expanded the list of available AH1 terrains. The new additions include several that were very well-known back in the days of Aces High "Classic". For example, you'll find these:

Burma
Libya
Tunisia
Kuril
Slot
MrSmog6
Norway
Shuffler's FFA
Shuffs Paradise

....and many others. There are now about 75 in total.

Here's the link:

AH2 terrains are next. Give me a few days.

Regards,

UPDATE for AH2 as of today 14Sep2010

I've published about 65 terrains for Aces High II and newer versions of Aces High. A few of them get their own page with a screenshot showing the map as displayed by Aces High 2.  More coming....

Enjoy!

I remember there used to be 1 or 2 maps that were basically air race courses, one had like a blimp type thing and a dirt race track for jeeps as well. anyone help me out?

Sorry, I don't remember those and I don't they are in my collection. However, if you do find them, please email them to me and I'll add them to the collection for the benefit of all.

Ex-jazz:

Thanks for alerting me to the existence of those maps. The YouTube video makes them look like a lot of fun!

I downloaded them and tried them out on my own, but I noticed that most of the spawn points are boxed in by barricades or other barriers. I can't figure out what was intended here. Is there some way to make these useful?

Hi bbosen,

Those start barriers were must for the h2h race hosting. It was a preventing the jump-starts once and all.

So, you must delete the barriers objects, mentioned on clipboard. It's also good idea to destroy all field acks in performance shake.

If you adjust the downtime, the barriers will stay down during your flying session.

Funny, I just find that old vehicle race demo video. I uploaded it to the youtube:

Update 21Jan2011:

I've added Greece, Tunisia, and Ranger's amazing new "Rngercove" and "twinriver" terrains. Wow, Ranger!  :aok

For Tunisia, there was a naming conflict with an older map that looked completely different. I've renamed the older one "TunisiaOld".

Anyone have HtHide's FFA map?  Especially one of the last versions with airstarts between the middle airfield and the "eagle's nest" airfield.

Short answer: YES.

Long answer: I know I've seen the squid on one of these maps, but I can't remember which one.....

Update 29Nov2012:

I've added my new "Leyte01" terrain for Aces High II. Here's a link:

http://techvideoreview.com/FlightSimMovies/AcesHigh/AcesHighFullPage.htm

From there browse into "Terrain Maps" -> "Terrains for Aces High II". The new Leyte map will be apparent from there.
