Usually if there's a good furball, I love nothing but to be part of it, but once the f6f/f4u come in a try to take hangars down, then i'll bring buffs and will sink it.  It really work both ways.  tell your friends not to bring ords/stop vulching the field and have a pure furball on both sides.  and oh yeah, tell the dorks that man the 5in to get out of it and up a plane.  because to be honest, i get hit by one of them from 5k out and i will sink the cv, awesome furball or not.

i'd be the one with my squad CV capping it to make sure your buffs wouldnt make it in. nor would the suicide 38s/ponies :D

321bar very rarely will a fiter even attempts to stop my buffs.  I come in at 5k and always laugh at the fact that fighters will see me and still go to the base to vulch.

i forget which country you fly? and times too. but when the 582nd is online at a CV battle, we're usually above it covering for buffs

I vaguely recall that HT once posted a possible solution to this. Something on the lines of, "your ordnance only does damage if you are still alive 5 seconds after it hits".
That was talked about in the context of the bomb-and-bailers, but it is unfair to those who are shot down after releasing their ords.  However, we do already have the disappearing ords to prevent the spawn PT-launch torps-bail-repeat that used to happen.

As to the OP, this wish is absolutely silly for the same reason, and is a thinly veiled screen for a "you sank my cv" whine.  Glad you were having fun furballing, but since the CV is sunk, go find (or start) a furball somewhere else -- problem solved.

I've been playing this game for about a month now and the most fun I've had by far is when a carrier group pulls into range of a coastal airfield.  It doesn't matter if I'm on the side with the carrier or the side defending the airfield, it is an absolute blast.

The problem is that there is always one or two guys that feel it is their duty to sink the carrier asap and they will use whatever means necessary to do it.  Their usual methods involve lifting a U.S. plane with full ords and suicide dive bombing repeatedly until they finally get the ship.  Another option they seem to like is taking a formation of heavy bombers and beelining at 2k for the ship (this is much less effective generally.)  I realize that both of these tactics can be stopped by taking out the ords at the airfield but I found out the other night that they have yet a third option, the B-25H.

A couple nights ago, we had a great carrier battle going and I guess the ords were down because there were no suicide dive bombers or suicide heavies coming from the base.  There were however two guys in B-25Hs coming out time after time skimming the water to attack the carrier.  They died and they died a lot but they had enough air cover that at times they were able to reach the carrier and get a few 75mm shots on it.  Eventually the carrier went down and the fight ended almost immediately.

It would be great if there was some way to discourage that type of play.  That type of person obviously doesn't care about score so that isn't a disincentive.  I really don't know what can be done that won't have the unintended side effect of punishing people that are actually trying to survive their sorties.  All I know is that it sucks when 1 or 2 people can ruin the fun of 20 other people with suicide attacks.  Wishful thinking that something be done about it but this is the Wishlist forum afterall  :D

Maybe you should start playing this?

I fly with the knights.  but if my squadies log and there's no good fites on the knight side, I switch to rook and hit the bishops, if they're any good fites there.
