also, my home mountain is Northstar At Tahoe, but in the last 5 years prices skyrocketed and it's gone the way of super resort. Probably going to get passes to somewhere different this year. Also this will be my 10th year snowboarding and going to start it on a brand new deck. Going to be awesome.

Dude, you're going to love that new deck. Last january I went to Tignes on a brand new Ride Prophet...

first day i rode on it some dutch learner crashed into me from behind at the side of the piste and did this  :cry
we had a good laugh about it, he was a cool guy.

in action on our little kicker at home

New boards are so sweet to ride, straight line like a rocket without a wiggle. I'm old school, i ain't ever riding one of the new 'banana tech' shape boards if I can help it.

Bat,
For riding that deep powder you want a reverse camber board. I tried my Ride DH in it for a bit but its nose sank in way too easily. Then my bro hooked me up with a demo from the shop he works at and I was surfing that snow :rock

whats it like on flat? I like my old style board for the park which is where I spend most time.

Wish I had A) the mountains and B) the heli drop to get that deep untouched pow at the summit

Definately not the best type of board for park riding, but makes pow riding alot better. powder riding is a work out for sure.

Thanks for the tip junky. In a dream world I would keep an arsenal of dif boards for differnt riding and have the mountain as my home. Even then I would probably never get good enough to ride those powder lines so smooth as the video. But being a lowly peasant I only get one board and lots of concrete, 95% of the challenge is getting to some snow.  :D

nice little kicker you had there, im sorta suprised you got that height off of it, lol.

also, for the guys who are familiar with camber/anticamber, what shape would probably be best for Boarder-X? This year I might join into this amature league.

I learnt to ollie pretty high and at speed on a skateboard when I was a kid, translates really well when you get rid of the wheels and add a springboard onto the tail  :D

I don't know enough about the newer board designs really, but for boarderX you wont want a deck designed for deep powder although I have never ridden a new style deck.  :headscratch:

I'm not a very good snowboarder, I just really enjoy it and am at a good level to stay alive at.
