I just hope they stay away from the "Pearl Harbor" type movie with all the smoochy drama and keep it more closely aligned with BoB and "the Pacific".

On that note... I'd really like to see someone make a movie about the British 8th in North Africa and the Germans experience on the Ost Front in similar fashion to BoB and "The Pacific".  I've seen the movie "Stalingrad", but I don't think it does the story much justice.

Midway was a great movie, but the overuse of stock footage irritated me (like Charlton Heston crash-landing his Banshee jet fighter at the end of the movie...) The DVD cut also sucks, because it removes the Coral Sea scenes. The only deleted scenes included was a badly-inserted romantic subplot for Heston's character made for the made-for-TV version.

I'm interested in seeing how they handle this.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I just hope they throw some historical accuracy in there for a change.  If they have Wildcats out-turning Zekes and the Enterprise sporting catapults and an angled flight deck...

I'd like to see a BoB style mini-series done on the Mighty Eightth...

Sounds like it could be good but really wish the movie makers would back off of this 3D BS. Not really needed as get a headache from those stupid glasses.

I agree with Loon on the kissy kissy BS as well. Just make it an action movie.  :salute

$200 mill price tag.

It better be good, he worked on "Pacific" too it says.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
