I do too and love the hell out of them.  Great sound, great mic and super comfortable for hours and hours.  Wouldn't trade them for anything.

can you get good 5.1 from headphones in AH?

I was looking at some decent headsets and a couple of squad members said they were not impressed when they bought high end headsets.

I think hardware and peripherals is a minefield.

We should have a list of products with marks out of ten in the forums, it would save us lots of money.

I was blown away by the HPA2 - you absolutely can get "better than good" 5.1 from a set of headphones.  Is it "studio quality"?  Probably not.  But it's easily 3x better sounding than the comparably priced Plantronics headset I replaced.  AH sounds much better - but with music, it was like hearing my favorite songs for the first time all over again.

You guys better be right:  I ordered a pair to arrive on Wednesday!

I like the idea of a hardware / peripherals ratings forum of some kind WRT AH2.  What type of format would be best?  A wiki page?  Hmmm....

+1  I have the Turtle Beach AKR8.. which is the HPA2 headset that plug into a 5.1 USB device.  I think I paid close to $100 a few years back for them, but the sound is amazing.

Before that I had a pair of LTB 5.1 USB headphones that were... 'meh' at best, but still tons better than plain-jane headphones.  I didn't realize just how 'meh' they were though until I replaced them with a Turtle Beach set.

Many different threads on this same subject...best ones I have found are Sennheiser PC350...last years model but cheaper than the newest PC360 and still just as good.
