Got my first big win this Saturday at Bradenton Motorsports Park!

(I am in the blue pants just right of center, went through some Gatorade there! The weather was oppressive with temps in the low 90's-high 80's with humidity in the low 80's.)
I went eight rounds against some very good racers to win the $3,000 Labor Day Weekend bracket race. As you can see in the picture it was hot, humid and we were sweating our butts off! Going onto the ladder after fourth round with 11 cars I was the number two seed and eventually got a bye into the finals. In the finals I was .010 to his .020, we both ran .02 over with me on the brakes taking about 18 inches at the finish line. As it turns out it couldn't have come at a better time as we just bought rear slicks for $661. Along with paying for that we can do some minor upgrades and maintenance that isn't directly out of pocket. We have had wins before but mainly average races where its $1,000 to win or less even. I couldn't have done it without my Dad and my soon to be step mom Teresa though. They own the car and finance the major part of the funds to keep the car up to par and running good. I do most of the maintenance and whatever repairs are needed but its not a fair trade to be sure. The car did its job well too, its top ten in the points at three tracks with three different drivers!
This win comes on the eve of some very big races coming up in the next month or two. They are 10k to win and bring some of the best racers in the country to Florida. Cant guarantee the same success but we will be out there giving it our best shot!
