OK they are much faster for me.And also cure many problems with the earlier beta drivers.

5.13 drivers
1600x1200 @ 16 bit front view 26 fps
1600x1200 @ 32 bit front view 13 fps (yuck)
5.22 drivers
1600x1200 @ 16 bit front view 28 fps
1600x1200 @ 32 bit front view 28 fps yikes !
Now looking out cockpit over left wing,
1600x1200 @ 16 bit left view 46 fps
1600x1200 @ 32 bit left view 39 fps
Checked the above many times to be sure definitely no error.
FSAA seems to have no effect at 1600x1200 and to be honest its not needed and i suspect not enabled.
At 1024x768 @ 16 bit with no FSAA
front view 27 fps
left view 43 fps yikes
At 1024x768 @ 16 bit with Maximum FSAA
front view 20 fps
left view 25 fps
Forget about 32 bit FSAA cos you just dont wanna know.
However 800x600 @ 16 bit
Front view 27 fps
Left view 44 fps
And identical figures at 32 bit.
With FSAA at 800x600 its a tremendous improvement and playable because these FPS are about as low as i see its always a lot faster in the air.
Picture quality wise i would say 800x600 FSAA is possibly the equal of 1280 normal res, and 1024 FSAA is very nearly the equal of 1600 normal res, its very close.
However nothing beats 1600x1024 as the dials are definitely sharper to read but jaggy wise its a very close call.
But the real kicker is for my system at least the 1600x1024 resolution not only looks the best but its the fastest as well
It may sound unbelievable but the higher the resolution the faster my FPS.
I did take various screen shots at the different settings but dont know if it shows the fps or more to the point shows it accurately as i saw on the screen because the act of taking the screen shot dropped the fps.
Having said that they would be great for comparing the jaggy effect or lack of it at varying res and FSAA on or off.
Right enuf of this its flying time !
Damn i hope somebody bothers to read this
