Nope, they are gunners keys.

Ah, no problem, I had no keys for them at all so made the gunners be CTRL numbers  .

I have remapped my AH keystrokes extensively in order to build more efficient joystick macros. Addtionally, some AH default keys are mapped for right hand use, by proximity. I like to use my left hand for many keystrokes during flight, so I have remapped them for easier use.

You might want to get one of these PC Dash thingies then.  They're extremely cool and beat the Hell outta using the keyboard.

In order to use macros you have to go to the advance area and reduce the time delays to zero.  It reads the time you take to produce the macro.  To make the macro work you would have to hold the button it is mapped to for the same period of time it took you to create the macro!!  By reducing the time between key strokes you get an instantious macro, check it out.

Good Luck

The Saitek PC Dash is a keyboard pass-thru device, essentially a programmable keypad.  It allows you to put your favorite commands in a handy place and can reduce multi-key commands to a single button.  IOW, it's like an MFD.  It's about the size and shape of a closed laptop and fits comfortably between your throttle and joystick.

It has some limitations but overall it's quite useful.  I'll email you more details.  I'm just surprised more people don't have it, or its Suncom competitor.  It's been around for some time now.  But Saitek markets the thing more for the Quake crowd instead of simmers, so that's probably part of it.

I shall.  I tried tweaking the times but obviously not the right way.  Thanks.

BTW, is that 1776 your old DOS AW number?

In that case, better make sure you've got the updated software.  They now call that the Saitek Command Center because it can program all their gamepad crap as well as the PC Dash   .  However, it IS way better than the original software in all respects except handling of delays like for menu-driven wingman commands in EAW.  With the new software, those take up WAY more barcode space than before   .
