Observer proxy bug
« on: October 01, 2010, 10:01:38 AM »
Last night I was flying a duce with a squad mate riding along as an observer. In the course of the sortie I had two planes auger while trying to avoid getting shot and I did not get a proxy so I assumed someone had a couple rounds into them already. When I landed it flashed up the kills that I had and also showed my observer as being credited for two kills. I assume my observer was throwing beer can and they caused the two aircraft to auger so he was credited with the kill, but it may also be a bug that observers are credited with proxies rather than the pilot.

Its one of those zero impact on game-play bugs but I thought I would throw it out there so it is known to the community.

I don't know how the "observer" is placed in your plane, but if he was closer to the augers, he will get the proxies.

I may add: The observer might be in "your plane", but due to lag the position of your plane on his screen can be different... he can effectively "trail" you by a few dozen feet, which places him much closer to a con augering behind you.
