A nice visual of the quake and 500+ (yes five hundred) aftershocks that hit christchurch recently.

Funny, I was expecting a map for the game "Quake" as that's how many people play Aces High.

WOW and some of those have been relatively shallow and steep for aftershocks from what I understand about that sort of thing.

I haven't even heard of this... looks like they are just trying to imitate California.. just like the rest of the world, but in their own way.

Is there any deaths/injuries?  That 7.1 looked pretty severe.  I wonder what's going on over there.

heavy stuff
on a side note , its weird looking at the map  of Christchurch as I live in between Oxford and Aylesbury in the uk
and there they are west of christchurch...
suppose its nothing new just copying home names somewhere new , just funny to see.

Looks like its gonna fall into the ocean soon too.  :O
Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.
