Currently, the charts show penetration data for 0, 1000, and 2000 yards. IMO, while the 1k and 2k are worth while and useful ranges to document, I think listing the point blank (zero range) is wasting 1/3 of the available data.
Instead, I propose the listing of the 400, 1200, and 2000 yards ranges. First, it shows ranges that match the reticule marks in all of the tank guns in AH. Secondly, it reflects more accurately the ranges in WWII in which tank guns were fired (400-1000 yards). Not many tank guns were fired at point blank into enemy tanks. Sure, there were more than 1 German tank destroyed by a 100 yard or closer shot, but for purposes in AH I think 400 yards would be a better representative to the real deal than zero yards. The 400/1200/2000 yard ranges have intervals of 800 yards instead of the 1000 yard intervals.
