I offered him a job but he's afraid of a little wind.  ;)

(kidding...about the wind thing)

Doing what he has done takes dedication and drive.

Taxes are convoluted! However for the record I passed Regulation first which includes taxes.

... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Not to rain on your parade...

I hope they completely do away with present tax structure and put every CPA tax specialist out of business...

The present system is a complete joke...and this nation wastes Billions every year in terms of GDP navigating the complex and ever changing code...

Its an industry that has very close parallels with the so called 'war on drugs' which will never be won that is tied into the prison industry and law enforcement complex, along with their unions and political clout...

On the other hand...

Congrats...its one hell of an accomplishment...

Salute

Got a tad bit more good news. In order to get your CPA license you must not only pass those horrible tests you need to have so much work experience. The work experience must be verified by a licensed CPA. One of my Professors, the chair of the Masters program has agreed to do this for me. That is a huge relief.

You also need to write an ethics exam...or used to at least.

It was a take-home exam back in the day, but you needed to score 80 or 85%....something crazy like that.  It was TOUGH too, I went to a buddy's place one Saturday morning with the intention of knocking it out in a couple of hours.  I left his place in the wee hours of the next morning and didn't feel comfortable that we'd passed it, but both of us were okay in the end.

They instituted it after a number of recently qualified CPAs had made unethical decisions and then claimed "...but we didn't know".  So, to avoid liability issues they instituted the ethics exam.  Has it changed now?

I looked into that after you commented on it months ago. Indiana doesn't have an ethics exam. Thank goodness! Many states do. From what I understand its a computer test now that you take from home.

Note to my clients...go to Indiana if you need an unethical tax accountant.  ;)

It wasn't computerised but it was still a take home exam when I wrote it.  Tough little test and not to be taken lightly if you have to write it.
